AZE Designs is at the Fantasy Faire 2012!!!

Well, I'm sort of putting the cart before the horse here!  In this post, I will tell you about my offerings at the Fantasy Faire in SL, which opens tomorrow, April 21st!  And then, next post, I'll update you all on my latest releases...

Meantime, I'm thrilled to be at the Fantasy Faire, on the Devil's Locket steampunk-inspired region, and the following offerings are for sale, all proceeds going to Relay For Life!  You can find them at the sim, for sale in the standard RFL Vendors in our store.  I say "our store" because I'm sharing the space with my neighbor on Pirate Point Break, sohma g. Dawling of Paper Moon!

A quick note on my RFL items:  I am offering Amethyst gem versions of two new releases, two sets of Stargazer Lily items for Petite and four sets of Vayda Medallion jewelry for regular sized avatars.  These items are only available during the Fantasy Faire at Devil's Locket Store.  I may possibly release them on Marketplace in the future, with all proceeds going to RFL fund raising.

Twisted Hunt March 2012

The Twisted Hunt for Spring 2012 is upon us - and AZE Designs is in it!!

I "found" my hunt offerings during our voyage to the deep Yucatan jungle of the Mayans.

My crew and I traveled there last spring, after leaving New Orleans, before I made the treacherous crossing to European waters.  We docked in Merida, and made our way into the jungle wilderness, following rumors of gold and riches...

Precious rubies and large chunks of jade "fell" into our laps, as well as some golden artifacts.  We heard many stories of "the end of times"  and of the native calendar coming to its end - of Yum Kimil, the "Lord of Death," and of the twin heroes of Mayan legend that enslaved him in the underworld, where he still kicks at the foundations of creation, causing great earthquakes....

Thank goodness we made it out of the Mexican jungle to tell the tale - actually the greatest danger were the over-sized mosquitoes that threatened to eat us in our hammocks!  We turned our ship into the Atlantic, heading deep into the Mediterranean for our next adventure!

Stargazer Lily Crowns and Wands for Petites

Our little stowaways from our Mediterranean trip have kept us on our toes!  Despite their mischievous nature, and their tendency to sit on and try to ride on EVERYTHING, (the local squirrels run in terror now when the pixies appear), they have been a energetic source of inspiration.

After much pestering, I decided to try my hand at turning the gilded and silvered lilies found during our voyage into lovely crowns and tiny wands for our diminutive friends.  They have been a hit at the Petite Avatar Kingdom, and are now available at the AZE Jewelry Designs Main Store:

"One of this pirate lass' favorite ports of call is colorful New Orleans!  Once when putting in to drop off cargo, she was approached by an old salt offering for sale heart-shaped sapphires in graduating shades of red to blue!  What a perfect accent to her music-inspired jewelry links!"

This design originated in 2010 during the My Heart Bleeds Blue Hunt - seven heart sapphires in color shades ranging from red to purple to blue!  Then I was inspired to create original and lively gold links incorporating symbols and notes from a page of music! Put together, these delightful elements become the "My Heart Beats Blu" Jewelry line!

The line is dedicated to my SL friend BluJns - a fantastic DJ that has entertained thousands in world with her fabulous music sets and "basement blues."

Have Finally Returned From A Long Sea Voyage....

It has taken a month to empty the ship's holds and unpack my trunks, but I am finally prepared to turn the treasures I found into wonderful surprises for you!

Leaving New Orleans for the Caribbean in late May, I stopped in the Yucatan to hunt for Mayan treasure!  Then I headed up the eastern coast to the Mid-Atlantic states to hunt for shells.  After making the Atlantic crossing in mid-summer, I headed directly to the Mediterranean.

Most of late summer was spent searching the Greek Isles for sunken treasure - ah!  the mysterious lure of the Aegean sea!  After sailing close to the coast of Turkey, I tried to outrun the autumn storms on my way to Corsica, successfully navigating the straits of Messina.

My crew wanted a peek at Stromboli, that volcanic island majestically rising from the ocean.  As we passed it, a strange thing happened - a dense fog arose, that we sailed into cautiously.  When we emerged, we realized the weather had changed, we were heading into a winter's gale.  We apparently picked up two stowaways as well:  tiny faerie folk that could change color and appearance at will!  When we finally docked in Calvi, we were shocked to find that two months had passed, and we were well into November.

Our journey ended in mid-December; I and my crew made landfall at our home port just in time for the winter holidays. Now that we have celebrated and rested, I am settling in and preparing to craft lovely items for your pleasure.  I have also been working on treasures for our new "Petite" friends.  Since they are preparing for Mardi Gras, and possess a devilish nature...I present to you:
