Jupiter Jewelry goes romantic!

So...This post is a little late...but just wanted to make sure you all knew about the transformation of the Jupiter Jewelry line into even more romantic design - and the lines were completed just in time for Valentine's Day!

Taste of the 50s Hunt! by Sour Pickles - We are in it!

TASTE OF THE FIFTIES HUNT!

Approximately 82 stores are included, with lots of goodies available!  Sour Pickles is a whimsical store in Second Life with all kinds of amusing accessories to make your Second Life more fun.  Past hunts organized by Sour Pickles have included "Apple of My Eye" hunt, "Can't Fight the Moonlight" hunt, and the "Family Jewels" hunt.  Check the blog for starting locations and hints!

Both of these items are modifiable and copyable.  Look for the 45 vinyl record somewhere around the store!  Oh, by the way, the 45 records were the small ones - they were like the single MPG or ITunes song purchases of long ago - except there was always a flip side as well!

A quick note about tortoise-shell - the following information is culled from Wikipedia:

"Tortoiseshell or tortoise shell is a material produced mainly from the shell of the hawksbill turtle, an endangered species...In 1973, the trade of tortoiseshell worldwide was banned under CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species)...Tortoiseshell was attractive to manufacturers and consumers because of its beautiful appearance and its durability, and its organic warmth against the skin....There have been a number of faux tortoiseshell materials developed since the 1970s, most of which mimic the appearance of tortoiseshell. Tortex is a material that was created to replace tortoiseshell guitar picks and has been widely accepted as a suitable substitute."

One of the beauties of Second Life is that we can have items that mimic real-world materials such as precious metals, all based on graphics, without actually depleting limited resources or harming endangered species.  As to our desires to still have these items, real or virtual, is an entirely different issue - for discussion in another forum.

Minor Arcana Tarot Charm Jewelry Line

Presenting the AZE Designs Minor Arcana Tarot Charm Jewelry Line!

The Minor Arcana Tarot Charm jewelry line is derived from the hunt item created for the 2009 Tarot Card Hunt.  The jewelry items are forged with simple gold links, and feature charms that represent each of the symbols and elements of the Minor Arcana - Pentagram (Earth), Swords (Fire), Cups (Water), and Wands (Air).  Items available in this jewelry line include earrings, a necklace, a charm belt and a bracelet.

The Minor Arcana cards, along with symbolizing the four elements, also represent events, situations and people in our everyday lives. 

 Thus, an important characteristic of the Minor Arcana is personal control.

Please also look at the photograph of the details of the charms - what the photo CAN'T show you is that:  The Sword's flames are REAL (wink) and little puffs of "air" animate the Wand!

Mardi Gras Season is Here at AZE Designs!

One of our pirate lass' favorite holidays is Fat Tuesday - she has often taken small craft to her favorite cities to celebrate, such as New Orleans and Venice - she even snuck into Vienna once via the Danube.  She felt that sets of Mardi Gras beads should be made available for purchase for people to have their own celebrations, whenever they want!

 Thus, Mardi Gras Beads, for your next Fat Tuesday party! The following sets all have single-strand beads that come in three different lengths.  These beads are all Modify/No Copy/TRANSFER so you can pass them out to your guests at your event!

These boxed sets are arranged as follows:

Two Standard Sets, one with 27 necklaces in gold, green and purple, and one with 36 necklaces with multi-hued beads.

One Deluxe set that includes both Standard Sets of beads, Tri-color and Multi-color, for a total of 63 Mod/No Copy/TRANSFER single-strand necklaces.

Finally, the Super-Deluxe Set includes both sets of beads doubled, Tri-color and Multi-color, for a total of 126 Mod/No Copy/TRANSFER single-strand necklaces!

All of these sets include, as an extra bonus, two full perm gestures, and two Mod/Copy textures you can use to make your own signs for your event.

One other special request item turned into a Mardi Gras bead set!  I was asked how to link these separate strands together, and I decided to come up with a set of TRIPLE-strand beads!  In combinations of gold, green, purple & multicolored beads, there are a total of 28 Mod/No Copy/TRANSFER three-strand necklaces. 


Easy to use, you can distribute these colorful necklaces to your guests by dragging the beads from your inventory either to the avatars, to their IM box, or to their profiles.  If they are unable to find them, direct them to the Recent Items tab in their inventory!

AZE Jupiter Pearl Jewelry

Amilia sighs....this blog entry took longer then expected, but that had something to do with an unfinished story.  Now that the Jupiter Pearl Jewelry Collection also exists in silver, the tale is closer to completion and can be told.

Lengths of gold chain and droplets of pearl lying on the bottom of the old wooden chest - their shininess tortured the pirate lass.  She could just string them together, but she wanted to actually do a design!  After many fruitless attempts, an idea finally formed!  Diamond-shaped, pearl-enhanced, the delicate chains coalesced into just what she wanted.  Satisfied, she presents to you, the AZE Jupiter Pearl Jewelry collection!

 From the illustration at left, the delicacy of the necklace is more apparent - and this was only possible with the development of a very specialized sculpty that recreated the look of multiple chainlinks - Hurrah!

Once the gold version was complete - the "tedious" work on recreating the look in silver was launched, and now the AZE Jupiter Pearl Jewelry Collection is available in both gold and silver.

 The sets consist of a necklace, earrings and two bracelets - all available separately or in various configurations.  Some of the purchasers of these sets have actually used them for their bridal parties, or as gifts for their bridesmaids!

Creator's Note:  This design is closest to the sort of jewelry I used to make in-world - I was thrilled when I could recreate the look in Second Life.
