Horrorfest 2013

And next, Horrorfest! This event runs through November 8!   Click here to grab a ride!

But give it a few days, the region is a little swamped.  When you first arrive, there is an evil Gacha forest, and here is mine:  AZE Diabolical Scumglasses set!
The first set of Evil Carnie Scumglasses were such a great hit, I'm going for it again for Horrorfest.   These were originally inspired by Earnest's cousin, Billy "Boogie" Worrel, an old diehard carnie (you can look him up on Youtube).

Eight styles each, for both men and women, with possible more additions!  All images were created by my awesome, demented and twisted buds here in SL for me just for this project!  They will be gacha-ing for L$50 each.

And if that wasn't enough, there is a HUNT!!  Here is my silly little hunt gift:

Come look for the little orange pumpkin to get your own at the AZE Jewelry Designs Main Store!!

Finally, here my new exclusives for Horrorfest!  At last a full set of my Yum Kimil design!

The original items were designed for the Twisted Hunt a while ago, and now they are expanded to mesh, and (so far) include an entire jewelry set - necklace, earrings and bracelets!  Here's hoping a mens' set is coming soon!

The Yum Kimil Bracelet Set is my 100% donation item for Horrorfest - set at L$200.  The earrings will sell for L$150 and the necklace for L$250.  All funds to go to the Epilepsy Therapy Project!

More Horrorfest information here at the website!

Reprising my little backstory about this jewelry line:

My latest find from the deep Yucatan of the Mayans.

My crew and I traveled there last spring, after leaving New Orleans, before I made the treacherous crossing to European waters.  We docked in Merida, and made our way into the jungle wilderness, following rumors of gold and riches...

Precious rubies and large chunks of jade "fell" into our laps, as well as some golden artifacts.  We heard many stories of "the end of times"  and of the native calendar coming to its end - of Yum Kimil, the "Lord of Death," and of the twin heroes of Mayan legend that enslaved him in the underworld, where he still kicks at the foundations of creation, causing great earthquakes....
Thank goodness we made it out of the Mexican jungle to tell the tale - actually the greatest danger were the over-sized mosquitoes that threatened to eat us in our hammocks!  We turned our ship into the Atlantic, heading deep into the Mediterranean for our next adventure!

Thus I created gold & jade links into a unique jewelry set for your pleasure!  Enjoy!  (Make sure to look close!)

Genre October 2013 - STEAMPUNK!!

Yaaar!  Here is my very first offering for Genre - I'm so excited to be a part of it.  The October 2013 Genre is Steampunk, and this pirate lass likes to spend her fair share of time exploring this theme.  Airships are cool!

Gears in Steampunk are ubiquitous, but these were found during a raid off the coast of Britain, could have been near Blackpool.  What I thought were chests of Spanish gold were, to my disappointment, shipments of gears to an industrial site for some nefarious project, I'm sure! What useless baggage to have on board!!  Now that I had them, I decided to make them into decorative jewelry pieces.  I named this jewelry line "Impedimenta" because what was uneeded cargo were now shining elements to accent your favorite Steampunk outfit!

For Genre, I produced three simple versions, a jewelry set with necklace and earrings, in shades of Brass, Copper and Steel.  These are selling for L$100 each for the course of the event.  In the future, expect other metals, and possibly color-changing gems!  Also upcoming should be bracelets and even a tiara.

These items are 100% original unrigged mesh, with unique textures.  They are selling, of course, for L$100 each for the course of the Genre event.

A Clockwork Spiral - an event to benefit the National Kidney Foundation

Hmm, Steampunk AND help a worthy cause?  I'm up for the challenge!  Ok, it might be more dark victorian, but pirates still sailed the seas, and who knows if an alternative steampunk universe, steamed-powered airships may have been more their speed?

AZE Magic Lantern Gem Slides Jewelry Set - photo by Nadia Voljeti
Ok "A Clockwork Spiral" came and went very quickly, but it was an incredible event.  Only running five days, from September 18 to 22, the event raised US $1, 082.47 for the National Kidney Foundation - which is incredible.  I'm very proud to have been part of the event, and look forward to participating again next year.

For this event, I found some unusual artifacts - magic lanterns dating from the turn of the century.  It's what was used before there were slide projectors, or movies, or television, or internet, online programming...you get the picture.

The Magic Lantern Earrings are permanently exclusive to the ACS National Kidney Foundation cause, and all Marketplace sales go to this organization.

 Magic Lantern Gem Slide Jewelry
This Jewelry Set is based on the Magic Lantern Slide - that element of the magic lantern where the real magic lies!  In this set, precious gems twinkle through the lantern's lens!

The earrings are priced at L$150, as are the bracelets.  The necklace is priced at L$200, and the entire jewelry set will be priced at L$350 - a significant discount of L$150!  All available at the AZE Jewelry Designs Main Store.

And they are up on MarketPlace as well!

So look for "A Clockwork Spiral" next year - I'll be more prompt letting you know about it!

Twisted Hunt Fall 2013 - Carnival!

Well, mateys, September was crazy, especially on little Pirate Point Break.  We had the Twisted Hunt both at the AZE Designs Main Store and at Paper Moon, we had Mad Pea Hunters crawling all over Sohma's store, we had a crazy Gacha fair out on the lawn...it was a madhouse.  But a very fun madhouse!

I think setting up the Gacha fair was the most fun, we had rides and games and gachas galore.  Here is my latest in the set up:

EVIL CARNIE SCUMGLASSES!!!  Based on the cheap wrap-arounds those evil carnies wear as they spin you around on those rides late at night.  The same type of glasses worn by  These were originally inspired by Ernest Worrel's cousin, Billy "Boogie" Worrel, an old diehard carnie (watch YouTube at your own risk).

There are three sets of Gacha machines - six in each, one for men, one for women, one for petites!!  Each try is L$50.  All Gacha items are Mod/No Copy/Transfer so they are trade-able!  These are now available at the mini, semi-permanent gacha center on Pirate Point Break, located in the White Whale Tavern, make sure to visit, the gacha experience is growing!

Quoted from the Twisted Hunt itself:

"The first Twisted Hunt was in March of 2009, the second was in September of the same year. Now the 10th Twisted Hunt is upon us!  Ladies and gentlemen! Boils and ghouls, we bring you the theme of Carnival, a trip into the past, the present, the future. A cavalcade of fiends, freaks and fantasy. Magic and merriment, and the untold horrors behind the Big Top. Just watch where you are when the lights go out at the end of the show…"

The AZE hunt gift for this round is the Evil Carnie Toolbelt - featuring all the twisted items a good evil carnie needs - All-Purpose Gum for those quick fixes, fire crackers, wrenches for loosening...er, tightening those bolts, a bottle of Gum'R Up for...oh never mind.  Suspicious powder and a mysterious water bottle completes the set!  And don't forget that extra pair of scumglasses.

These items are now available in the special "Hunt Item" lucky chairs at the AZE Jewelry Designs Main Store!

Oh NOES! More and MORE Puka Shells!!

Well, apparently I found a treasure-trove of them!  (but then, I AM a pirate, after all).

I'm so glad these shells are virtual, or I definitely would have many angry islanders after me for pillaging their shores.  This way, you can have your very own puka shell set without any environmental impact!  Available at the AZE Jewelry Designs Main Store!

Quick note:  These puka shells are unrigged mesh, so they are resizeable and can be set to any avatar attachment point.  Always make a copy of the original first, just in case.
